OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE MEASUREMENTS

Occupational hygiene; It can be defined as identifying physical, chemical and biological factors that may adversely affect employee health, and taking them under control by evaluating their effects. Occupational Hygiene measures are important in terms of protecting the health and well-being of employees, increasing work efficiency and, accordingly, contributing to the social security system.

Occupational Hygiene includes determining the negative factors that employees are exposed to through measurements and analyzes and determining the degree of exposure, as well as evaluating the health effects and taking and applying the necessary measures.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has brought accreditation requirement to laboratories that will carry out measurement and analysis in this regard, and has published the "Regulation on Laboratories Performing Occupational Hygiene Measurement, Test and Analysis" dated 20.08.2013 and numbered 28741, and determined the procedures and principles regarding the authorization of laboratories that will carry out measurement and analysis. .

Periods of Occupational Hygiene measurements are generally determined by risk analyzes made in enterprises. In risk analysis, factors such as additional machinery, plant and personnel changes are taken into account, as well as in cases where the measurement result is close to or exceeds the limit values.
